I've also had a change of heart on self-hosting - now not only do I no longer feel that a self hosted blog looks more professional, I've actually had a total change of heart and I think a blogger.com blog (in conjunction with Feedburner for all the analytical goodness that comes with it) is more in line with my goal of having everything up in the cloud on popular public services.
